Artist with a keen imagination, the pianist Antoine Bouvy is an explorer of the world of sonorities offered by the keyboard. Educated in the tradition and cultural diversity of various European schools, he started studying the piano and the harpsichord in Paris. Noticed by the famous Czech pianist and teacher Radoslav Kvapil, he decides on his recommendation, to proceed with his higher education with Teofils Bikis and Sergeï Osokin at the Riga Music Academy in Latvia. He improved later on his knowledge with Lazar Berman, Abdel Rahman El Bacha, Igor Lazko and the Talich quartet.

Traveller in soul as in his profession, his concerts will lead him in most European countries, USA and China, where he will receive a particularly warm welcoming. Having a large repertoire as a soloist and chamber musician, he gave the last few years, a privileged place to the French music –from baroque to contemporary music, proposing some of very rarely played pieces in concert (Suites by Rameau, Concerto for piano solo by Poulenc, works by Louis Aubert, Guy Ropartz, Emile Paladilhe, or contemporary composers as Emmanuel Hieaux). Estimated chamber musician partner, he is often invited to share the stage with internationally-renowned artists, or soloists and musicians from prestigious ensembles (orchestra of Paris, orchestra from the Opera of Paris, from Mariinsky Theater in Saint Petersburg, from the Opera in Riga, from Kremerata Baltica or the choir Accentus).  In the circle of cinema, he  had the opportunity to coach Ludovic Bource (The Artist) and Audrey Tautou (Eternité).
Appointed Artistic Director of the Concerto Grosso association in 2008, Antoine Bouvy was in charge of the artistic direction of the Bailu International Music Festival in China for three years and organized more than twenty concerts on this occasion. He also directed the International Piano Competition of the city of Gagny for eight years and currently coordinates piano master classes in Ventspils, Latvia (preparation of young pianists to play with an orchestra). In the world of cinema, he had the opportunity to serve as a piano coach for Ludovic Bource for the film "The Artist" and Audrey Tautou for "Eternity".
Based in Paris, he now teaches at the International Conservatory of Music in Paris and at the "Ecole des Musicales Pleyel". Many of his students have won awards in national and international competitions.
Invited as a juror for international competitions or as a teacher during Master classes (West Autstralian Pianists Competition in Perth (Australia), New Mexico University, CalArts University (California) in the United States, University of Kunming, Chengdu, Guiyang in China, CRR of Nice and Rueil Malmaison in France, various music schools in Latvia and Poland), he particularly likes the exchange with young musicians.
